Power in Simplicity

"Do not judge, and your will not be judged.  Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.  Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
            (Luke 6:37 NIV)

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.  One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"

Jesus replied:  "'love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'   All the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
(Matthew 22:34-40 NIV)

In this world of deep divisions within society into opposition groups, we need to stop and think about what we are doing and saying or not doing and saying.  The above selections from the Bible are the basic precepts our Lord Jesus taught and the most important.  Love, leave judgement to our Father, forgive, and, foremost, love God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
It is so simple.  Yet, mankind has such difficulty practicing it.  I am included in that group.  We must keep these things in the forefront of our minds each day, and practice them.  You will never be good at that which you do not practice.  One receives such a warm and holy feeling whenever these precepts are practiced.  Let this be our guide and we can never be wrong.
