WORSHIPING LEADERS

We should not attend church to worship the pastor or the church. We attend to gain strength from the community of brothers and sisters of like-mind and to worship God in fellowship with those of like-mind. We worship only our God; the only true-living God. Likewise, we should not worship other leaders in life, and especially political leaders. We can respect them for their abilities and courage to do speak and do what is right and good in leading their constituents, but never worship them.

People in this country and around the world have expressed great concern about Donald Trump. I have the following to say on the subject. Adolph Hitler came to a crossroads at some point in his life where he had to choose between being a constructive and encouraging leader or a monocratic and self-serving despot. Donald Trump has had or will have the same opportunity. Good or great leaders must possess the qualities of self-sacrifice and serving others for the greater good.

WHOSE YOUR GOD TODAY?

Whose your god today? Is it a smart phone? Maybe a television or famous movie star? Possibly it's money. But hopefully, we'll choose our devine Father God - not just today, but everyday make the one true-living God the focus of your worship.
